About this app

Designed by LaPlante Management, Dual Frame brings shared website bookmarks and embedded tools into Zendesk. Give agents one organized menu for reference pages, tools and reporting links, with no iframe code to write.

Place bookmarks in full navigation, beside tickets or in a top-menu pop-up. Reuse them across locations and tailor menus to agent groups.

What it helps you do

☑ Organize up to 20 shared bookmarks with names, folders, search and optional personal favorites.
☑ Keep compatible instructions, documentation and web tools beside the ticket being handled.
☑ Open resources from the top menu in a screen-responsive pop-up, then move to the full app or a new tab.
☑ Compare two compatible resources side by side in the optional full-page workspace; collapse the menu for more room.
☑ Configure team menus once; disable bookmarks without deleting their settings.
☑ Confirmed embedding restrictions switch bookmarks to New tab only across locations.

Use troubleshooting guides, product references, calculators, status pages and compatible live dashboards. Bookmark Zendesk Explore reporting, real-time monitoring and Help Center pages for new-tab access with existing permissions.

How it works

1. In Manage websites, enter a name and address; HTTPS is added when omitted.

2. Choose locations, groups and embedded or new-tab opening. Review compatibility results.

3. Save and refresh the Zendesk browser tab. Agents find resources in their configured menus.

Data and privacy

Settings and recent editor changes are stored with the installation. Group menus read agent membership; favorites use agent identity and browser-local storage. New addresses receive anonymous header checks through Zendesk unless marked Requires sign-in. Viewing sends no ticket fields automatically. Websites receive browser requests. Privacy policy. Contact Support shows account/agent details and creates a ticket only on Send.

Requirements and limitations

Administrator setup and supported HTTPS URLs are required. Embedding depends on the website and browser sign-in rules. General query strings/fragments are unsupported; recognized Zendesk links are exceptions that open in new tabs. Group menus do not grant website access. Favorites, comparison and ticket/navigation expansion are optional. Separate windows start fresh; unsaved work does not transfer.
