About this app

Keito brings project-based time tracking into the Zendesk Support ticket sidebar. Each agent connects their own Keito account, chooses a project and task, and either starts a timer or logs time already spent, without leaving the ticket.

  • Start and stop a timer on the current ticket. If a timer is already running elsewhere, Keito asks before switching it to this ticket.

  • Log earlier work as a manual entry: choose the date, type a duration such as 1:15, and press Enter or Save entry.

  • See the team's total time on the ticket, and open that time in Keito to review or edit it.

  • Search projects and tasks by name or code. The project and task last used on the ticket are preselected.

  • Every entry links back to its Zendesk ticket, so ticket time appears in Keito timesheets and reports.

Keito uses Zendesk's signed app context to identify the Zendesk account, app installation, current agent, ticket ID, ticket subject, ticket group, and ticket URL. This data is used only to authenticate the installation and agent, and to associate Keito time entries with the current ticket. Keito does not request a Zendesk API token, read ticket conversations, comments, or attachments, or store Zendesk credentials.

Each agent signs in to Keito through WorkOS. OAuth credentials remain encrypted on Keito's servers and are never exposed to the Zendesk iframe.

How to install

Click Install to add Keito to the Zendesk Support ticket sidebar.

Open a ticket and select Sign in to Keito. The first person to connect a Zendesk account must be an owner or administrator of the Keito workspace; this securely links the Zendesk installation to that workspace. Each additional agent then signs in with their own Keito account in the same workspace.

After signing in, choose a project and task, then start a timer or enter the time spent. The Zendesk integration is included with Keito Business. If the panel reports that access is unavailable, ask a Keito workspace owner to check the plan, or contact support@keito.ai.
