How to install

Installation

Okta Workflows for Zendesk is a server-side integration. There is no in-product Zendesk Support iframe to install; instead, your Workflows tenant authenticates to Zendesk via OAuth so the flows you build can call Zendesk APIs on your behalf.

Prerequisites

  • An active Okta Workflows tenant.

  • A Zendesk account with admin privileges to grant OAuth consent.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Okta Workflows tenant.

  2. In the left navigation, open Connections, then click + New Connection.
  3. Search for Zendesk and select the Okta Workflows Zendesk Connector.
  4. Enter your Zendesk subdomain (for example, your-subdomain.zendesk.com) and continue.
  5. You will be redirected to Zendesk's OAuth consent page. Sign in as a Zendesk admin and authorize the Okta Workflows application.
  6. After authorization, you will return to Workflows. Name your connection and click Save.

The connection is now available to flows in your Workflows tenant.

Data Privacy

This integration accesses Zendesk user, ticket, and organization data via Zendesk's REST API only when the flows you build invoke it. Data handling follows Okta's privacy policy: https://www.okta.com/privacy-policy/.
